TAKANAWA CLUB

The Club at Takanawa provides the full range of services Members have come to expect, in addition to some new benefits. Key features include a Day Spa, a new dedicated teen space, a Kids’ Zone and a Traders’ Bar with a dedicated kitchen for faster service. Takanawa also has a single-depth pool with a wooden deck, ideal for families and providing a country feel amid the trees of Takanawa.

New Redevelopment Website Launched

Stay informed via regular updates on progress with construction, designs, interiors and the events that mark each achievement. Check back often!

The Club has launched a comprehensive new website dedicated to the Redevelopment project to continue to ensure that Members are fully informed at every stage of the Redevelopment. The new site creates a one-stop shop for important information on all aspects of the Redevelopment, from the upcoming move to Takanawa to progress with the new Club at Azabudai.

Here Members will find insight on all aspects of the project, including the groups involved in the arduous process of creating the Premier International Club in Asia. Also outlined is the history of the Tokyo American Club, which has enjoyed a colorful past over its eight decades to date as the prestigious Tokyo destination.

In the lead up to our move, here provided is the relevant information required for a smooth transition to the temporary Club at Takanawa – from an overview of the custom built new facilities to an explanation of the resources in the neighborhood to become available to Members. The Takanawa facility will open its doors in early January 2008, clearing the way for work at Azabudai to begin.

The key aspects of the new Club at Azabudai are here described, including architects’ drawings and a depiction of the cutting-edge facilities that help to ensure this will truly be the Premier International Club in Asia.

For those Members who were not able to attend February’s Town Hall Meeting, excerpts from the evening’s presentations, which included a Redevelopment Project update, summary and an overview of the new Club at Azabudai by architects from Pelli Clarke Pelli, can now be downloaded from the Membership Directory section of the Club Web site.

Changes were made to the Articles of Association after publication of the 2008 Membership Handbook & Directory. Please refer to the Membership Directory section.

If you can’t make it to the Club for your favorite comfort food, why not have it delivered? TAC Express, the Club’s food delivery service, has expanded its delivery area to include Shinagawa Ward, Minato Ward and Hiroo. Place your order by simply calling the TAC Express hotline at 03-5449-9292 by 10:30 a.m. for lunch or 6:30 p.m. for dinner.
