Stroller Access

The recent stroller access trial at the Club has been expanded to include the second and third floors, with the following limitations:
2nd floor: Strollers are allowed in the main hallway and lobby. They may not be taken into the rooms. As with the first floor, they must be attended at all times.
3rd floor: Strollers may be taken into the New York Suite on Sundays for Brunch or Dinner.
Please be mindful of your fellow Members and avoid obstructing hallways and elevators.

Being a Good Neighbor

When driving to and from the Club along the surrounding residential streets, please bear in mind that the speed limit is 30 kilometers per hour. Since many elderly people and children use this road, it’s important to be mindful of pedestrians and other road users. Members are also requested to keep their voices at a moderate level when walking to and from the Club, particularly after evening events. Thank you for your cooperation.

iNTOUCH Goes Online

Coming soon: iNTOUCH online! Starting with the July issue, Members will able to access the Club magazine, with its news on TAC events, interviews with Members and insightful features, in a handy “e-magazine” format. Now there’s no excuse for not reading iNTOUCH each month!

Watch out for next week’s Spotlight for the launch of iNTOUCH online.

Tips on Driving to Takanawa

If coming down Sakurada Dori, continuing to Gotanda Station might be easier than turning at Takanawadai Station. (Look on our map for the left turn just before the main intersection at the station—it is a bypass to the traffic at the station.)

If you come down Route 15, note there is no right turn onto Zakuo Zaka (the road opposite the station). Just keep following the Gotanda signs around Kaitokaku and come in the alternate route (shown in red on the map).

Many Members have driven to the front gate and set their GPS navigation systems. Most people traveling by car say it is quite easy to find. See you at the Club.

Please check the Club Web site or the Member Welcome Booklet for more information on getting to Takanawa.

Your Exercise Alternative

The Club’s temporary Takanawa spot isn’t the only place to find a convenient workout. You can also head to the Tipness gym in Roppongi. Your Membership card and a ¥3,000 coupon for sale at the Recreation Services Desk get you through the doors.

Guidelines
• Coupons entitle Members to a workout session, towel, shirt, shoes and shorts.
• Members must be 16 or older to use Tipness.
• A waiver form must be filled out and guidelines signed before use.
• Your TAC Membership card must be shown when usingTipness coupons.
• Coupons go on sale on Monday, December 10, with purchases charged to Members’ accounts.

Getting to the New Club

The Club’s shuttle bus runs regular round trips between the Club and Shinagawa station. Check out the Club Web site or the “Takanawa Welcome Booklet” for details on public transport options, including the convenient bus number 96 which goes from Azabu Juban to a stop next to our Club.

The Takanawa wallet map and the access map in the “Takanawa Welcome Booklet” show an entry road to the Club from Route 317 between Shinagawa and Gotanda. A section of this road is subject to periodic closure during demolition of the Sony buildings. If it is closed, simply drive another 100 meters to the next right turn, which connects with the main road to the Club.

Stroller Pilot Program

Unlike at the Club in Azabudai, the layout of the Takanawa Club allows for strollers on the first floor of the Family Area, including at designated tables in Garden Café. The idea behind this program is to help parents who need to keep infants in their strollers. However, whenever possible, strollers should be parked outside to minimize congestion.
