Registration for the Spring Youth Baseball/Softball Leagues will begin in January. The programs are as follows:

T-Ball (Coed: K and 1st)
For kids in kindergarten (5 years old) and beginner first graders (6 years old). Practices are held on Saturdays at the Sacred Heart field. Practices are for 90 minutes. Between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Cadet League (Coed: 1st-2nd)
Pitching Machine League (with games at Sacred Heart on Saturdays). For experienced first graders and second graders. First practice is scheduled for March 17.

Girls Softball League (2nd-5th)
Slow pitch (with games at Sacred Heart on Saturday afternoons). Grades 2 to 5. Age groupings will be dependent on the total number of girls registered. Practice times start around 3 p.m.

*Junior League (Coed: 3rd-5th)
Kid Pitch League (games at St. Mary's or ASIJ on Sundays) For three, four and fifth graders. League practice and games are held at either St. Mary’s or ASIJ on alternating basis with the Seniors League.

*Senior League (Coed: 6th-8th)
Kid Pitch League (with games at St. Mary’s or ASIJ on Sundays). For all sixth, seventh and eighth graders. League practice and games are held at either St. Mary’s or ASIJ, alternating with the Junior League.

A shortage of coaches is expected this season, so the maximum number of players accepted will be dependent on the number of coaches available to create teams. Get your forms in early and please help out with the program. Every player is required to bring a glove to practice. All other equipment is provided.

Coed baseball program: ¥21,000 per child; softball program: ¥18,000; and T-Ball: ¥17,000.

For those Members who were not able to attend February’s Town Hall Meeting, excerpts from the evening’s presentations, which included a Redevelopment Project update, summary and an overview of the new Club at Azabudai by architects from Pelli Clarke Pelli, can now be downloaded from the Membership Directory section of the Club Web site.

Changes were made to the Articles of Association after publication of the 2008 Membership Handbook & Directory. Please refer to the Membership Directory section.
