2009 Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc
This well-balanced, complex Sauvignon Blanc opens with refreshing aromas of melon and honeysuckle. Lush citrus fruit flavors with a hint of tropical pineapple and spice are complimented by a crisp acidity. Excellent food compatibility resulting from the crisp, clean acidity on the finish, this is also a great, light sipping wine to share before a meal.

This silky, elegant wine exhibits the brightness and complexity for which Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon is famous. The smooth tannins are well-integrated, and the subtle oak adds complexity without overpowering the fruit. Flavors of cherry and red currant linger in the finish with notes of vanilla and earth. While enjoyable now, this wine will continue to improve with another three to seven years of proper cellaring. The blend is a classic Bordeaux varietal mix, aged 20 months in French and American oak

Swirl your glass and aromas of black fruit with briary characters first hit the nose, followed quickly by strawberry, raspberry and plum. Flavors of ripe black cherry and boysenberry are augmented by cedar and sandalwood. The lush mouthfeel and well-integrated tannins lead to a long finish of berry and spice. Pairs especially well with rack of lamb or roast duck with plum sauce.

This is a classically styled Cabernet Sauvignon from Mendocino County. Aromas of black cherry, cassis and vanilla oak are typical of the region. The medium-bodied palate is bursting with ripe red fruit and spicy French oak, which carry through the long finish. We recommend pairing with an appetizer of grilled portabella mushrooms, followed by grilled New York steak with a roasted garlic and mushroom wine reduction. Enjoy this wine now or hold onto it for another four to six years to watch the flavors evolve and pick up additional complexity.

The Cellar Premium Range

This release showcases the forward, ripe fruit and fine, polished tannins for which Napa Valley is most prized. The initial aromatic notes are of ripe red fruit and spicy oak. The flavors on the lush palate follow suit, while the finish underscores the high quality of the grapes. Enjoy it now, but know that this Cabernet will continue to improve with proper aging for another eight to 12 years.

A rich garnet hue with aromas of black cherry, ripe plum and cassis, as well as nuances of leather, toasted hazelnut and winter spices. This firmly textured wine offers a full mouthfeel flavored with coffee, chocolate-covered cherries, berry tarts and currants. The well-integrated tannins make it approachable at an early age, though multiple layers reveal themselves through decanting or by giving it time to open up in the glass. A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 10% Malbec, 6% Merlot and 4% Petite Verdot.

A rich, ripe Chardonnay from the cool climate of the Russian River. With only 25 percent barrel fermented, the use of stainless steel in fermenting the remainder has preserved a lively, delicate fruit character inherent in the grapes. The barrel-fermented portion lends complexity and structure. The aromas and flavors are fruity, with hints of peach, nectarine and apricot. Honeysuckle and nutmeg spice add complexity, and a long vanilla-apricot finish leaves you wanting another sip.
