Following the World Health Organization’s declaration of coronavirus as a global health emergency, the Club is continuing to take rigorous measures to safeguard the health of Members and staff.
There are now 75 alcohol-based hand sanitizers placed around the Club and housekeeping staff have increased sanitization of well-used facility spaces.
In addition, Club staff have been permitted to wear hygiene masks as a precaution at this time.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the United States recommends a number of preventive actions:
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 percent alcohol if soap and water are not available.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Stay home when you are sick.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
Detailed coronavirus information can be found on the CDC website.
We are in regular contact with the US Embassy and the Minato Public Health Center and will continue to update you on Club safety measures as the situation changes. |
