A fun, high-energy indoor cycling program designed to boost stamina and strength.
What will I learn in this class?
Open to all fitness levels, this class introduces students to indoor cycling and its huge fitness-boosting potential. Participants learn how to adjust a bike’s cadence and resistance for different stages of a “ride” and for the cyclist’s particular level and goals.
What are the benefits of this class?
Each indoor ride is divided into different stages, or “zones,” to mirror the variation of a real-world course. These different zones range from power and interval to endurance and recovery. Each zone is designed to build stamina or a different set of muscles.
Who will teach this class?
Mio Josephine Yamashita (pictured) is a Les Mills-qualified Bodypump instructor, Nesta-accredited functional training specialist, Spinning-certified level-1 instructor and Spin Power instructor, Adidas-accredited gym and run instructor and a registered teacher of yoga. She holds a degree in sports science from Juntendo University, where she was a sprinter on the track and field team. Yamashita also teaches Bodypump each Tuesday evening.
