You don't need to go to Kyoto to appreciate Zen temples.
Head to the Kanagawa coast to Japan's former capital of Kamakura.
The charming town is home to dozens of temples, but this visit will focus on two Zen temple gardens and a tea garden. There will even be a chance to experience a tea ceremony at one of the temples.
During this deep dive into Japanese history and culture, participants will learn about the philosophy and practices of Zen Buddhism and its connection to Kamakura.
This tour includes an optional lunch.
