Watercolor Journaling Field Trip

Make the most of autumn in Tokyo with a morning of watercolor journaling in the great outdoors.

Whether you’re new to journaling or have taken classes before, join this excursion to the verdant surroundings of the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace to sketch and color.

Learn about blind contours and watercolor washes before putting pencil and brush to paper. There will be plenty of guidance along the way.

Instructor
Club Member Christina Lopp Schwabecher, who started journaling while in Paris in 1994, taught watercolor journaling to adults for more than 15 years in California. Since moving to Japan, she has enjoyed trying her hand at various Japanese art forms.
