Taste of Taiwan: Pork Cutlets

Try your hand at cooking a popular Taiwanese dish.

Crispy pork cutlets are a culinary staple in Taiwan, and students will learn how to marinate the thick wedges of pork before pan-frying them to a golden-brown finish.

After sampling their kitchen efforts (recipes will be provided), students will enjoy a light lunch and soft drink.

Please inform the instructor of any dietary restrictions.

Growing up in Taiwan, Yoko Yanagisawa’s first foray into the kitchen was helping out at her family’s restaurant as a middle schooler. She has attended culinary schools and learned cooking from private instructors in Japan, Taiwan and the United States. She served as chair of the Chinese booth for Nishimachi International School’s food fair for two years.
