Oyakosong: Parent & Child Music (Fall)

Parents and children bond together through music.

What will I learn in this class?

Parents and children bond together through music. English-based lessons introduce infants and toddlers to music, books and instruments while also explaining an aspect of Japanese culture and history every lesson.

What are the benefits of this class?
Children experience the joy of making music together through a hands-on approach. Participants interact with each other in a music-rich environment. Children are also exposed to instruments such as castanets, shakers, ukulele, tambourine and bells. With time, children gain confidence in expressing themselves through music.

Who teaches the class?
Oh Xuemin is a Singaporean music specialist for young children and founder of Minim music programs for children (www.minim.family). She majored in Music and Education in Waseda University and holds an ABRSM Grade 8 Piano certification. Before becoming a music specialist, she was a preschool classroom teacher for 5 years.
