Pearl Sale

The elegant luster and brilliance of pearls have drawn the rich and powerful for thousands of years.

Reportedly, Roman leader Julius Caesar landed in Britain because he believed the country would be an excellent source of pearls to add to his collection of gems and art.

Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor loved the gem formed in mollusk shells, and her La Peregrina pearl necklace sold for a staggering $11.8 million at auction in 2011.

It remains the largest amount ever paid for pearls at auction.

Members won’t need to shell out that kind of money for a pearl treasure at this pre-Christmas sale, though.

Hosted by Sanwa Pearl, the two-day event boasts discounts of up to 40 percent off a range of jewelry and accessories featuring Akoya, South Sea, Tahitian black and Indonesian golden pearls.

Shop for pearl strands, brooches, earrings, rings, pendants, cuff links, tiepins and more.
