Gallery Reception: Dominique Lutringer

The mark of a master is not effusion but control.

In Dominique Lutringer’s compositions, lines of layered graphite and British inks deviate from their supposed true courses only when they must.

Inspired by the geometric beauty found in the traditional architecture and gardens of his adopted home of Japan, Lutringer has exhibited his minimalist works across the country.

The Frenchman’s captivating exhibition runs at the Frederick Harris Gallery through March 9.
