Dramatic landscapes have captivated artists’ imaginations throughout the centuries and across distant borders.
Born in Luoyang, Zhang Yan grew up surrounded by central China’s mountains, rivers and lush valleys.
Of recent, it’s been the villages, temples and scenery of Japan, including Mount Fuji, that have captured Yan’s eye.
Through March 30, Yan’s stylized ink wash meditations on Japanese vistas invite quiet reflection at the Frederick Harris Gallery.
In line with official precautionary health and safety guidance, the gallery reception for this exhibition has been cancelled.
With Tokyo's state of emergency no longer in effect, the Club is currently preparing to reopen select venues and services from June 1.
