What will I learn in this class?
Familiarize yourself with the aromas and sample the flavors of traditional Taiwanese cuisine.
Students will learn how to prepare steamed minced pork meatballs covered in sticky rice.
Participants will also practice making stir-fried rice noodles mixed with pork, shrimp and vegetables.
All recipes will be provided to participants. Please inform the instructor of any dietary restrictions.
Who teaches this class?
Yoko Yanagisawa is a native of Taiwan who started cooking in her parents’ traditional restaurant in middle school.
She has attended cooking schools in Japan and Taiwan and also took lessons from private instructors.
Yanagisawa served as chairperson for the Chinese booth for two years at Nishimachi International School’s annual food fair.
