What will the students learn in this class?
Students with no prior songwriting experience (basic guitar ability required) progress through basic concepts such as scales and rhythm before learning advanced techniques to express themselves, including chord progressions, lyricism and stage presence.

What are the benefits of this class?
Students with a budding interest in performing gain confidence and new skills. All students will finish this class with at least the foundation of an original song (one verse and chorus), though the aim is to complete a full composition.

Who will teach this class?
Yuma Nozaki (pictured) is a singer-songwriter with experience as a vocal trainer and guitar instructor at private high schools throughout Tokyo. A graduate of Keio University, Nozaki time abroad at Stanford University and his experience teaching special-needs students makes him a flexible and well-rounded instructor.
