STEAM (Winter)

Fun and engaging project-based activities centered around science, technology, engineering, arts and math.


What will I learn in this class?
Students (ages 3 to 12) flex their creative, scientific and problem-solving muscles through a variety of project chosen to suit their varying abilities.

Activities might include building small electronics, shooting and editing short films, crafting robotic contraptions and more.

What are the benefits of this class?
Children will be able to use their imagination to prototype, tinker and create using various materials. Activities include practicing measurements, judging weights, learning design principles and prototyping and making new friends in a creative setting.

Who will teach this class?
This class is taught by SchoolTribe teachers with long-term experience hosting STEAM classes in an educational setting.

Arooj Zaidi holds a degree in product and industrial design and is completing her postgraduate degree at Keio University’s Graduate School of Media Design. Zaidi researches means to positively influence children’s mathematical, physical and cognitive development.

Maike Erdmann holds a degree in computer science from Germany’s University of Oldenburg. Erdmann is fluent in Japanese.
