Knitting: Lace

A lace shawl is the perfect companion: easy to carry and ideal for wearing in a chilly room.

Learn how lace is created, how to read a pattern and how you can use lace to make a shawl, sweater, scarf or even socks.

This intermediate-level, technique class can be taken on its own or in combination with other knitting classes.

Required items: Knitting needles and yarn in appropriate size. Size 5–7 needles (3.5–4.5mm) and fingering weight yarn are ideal, but feel free to use whatever you have on hand, matching yarn weight to needle size. Contact the instructor if you need help purchasing items.

Instructor: Kendra Morgenstern
A longtime resident of Tokyo, Kendra is an avid knitter and quilter. The American has been teaching others how to knit and quilt for more than a decade. She keeps track of her creative ideas and everything else by bullet journaling.
