Head north to the Chichibu area of Saitama Prefecture for a spring day in nature.
Take in the beautiful scenery of Nagatoro Gorge while riding the rapids of the Arakawa River aboard a traditional wooden boat steered by two boatmen.
Members will then sit down to a delicious lunch of local vegetable tempura, udon noodles and Japanese mixed rice at Yokotei, a riverside inn.
The spectacular views continue after lunch with a trip to the hilltop Chichibu Hitsujiyama Park, with its unforgettable carpet of 400,000 blooming pink, purple and white shibazakura flowers.
The towering Mount Buko in the background completes the stunning scene.
