First Friday: Prohibition

Party Prohibition style at an evening to mark the Club’s 95th birthday.

When Tokyo American Club first opened its doors on May 23, 1928, Americans were knocking back libations at illicit speakeasies.

So dress your chic best for a behind-closed-doors celebration of the culture, music and fashion of the 1920s.

Pianist Kevin McHugh and his band will provide the jazz soundtrack to the evening while Members sip on champagne and other (unbootlegged) drinks, nibble on 1920s-era canapés and caviar and try their luck on the roulette wheel.

With partygoers looking spiffy, there will be prizes up for grabs, including something for the best dressed.

And while Mom and Dad enjoy a swell time in the Winter Garden, the kids kick back at Movie Night.
