Ease into the weekend with some laid-back tunes in the Winter Garden.
Pull up a seat, order a glass of something and take in the soothing jazz and classical standards of flautist Takuya Watanabe and pianist Ayaka Misawa.
A graduate of Musashino Academia Musicae, Watanabe’s musical career got off to a stellar start with the grand prize of the Tohoku Music Competition for Youth in 2008. Since then, Watanabe has specialized in Beethoven’s oeuvre.
After first picking up the flute at 10 years of age, Misawa graduated from Kunitachi College of Music with an emphasis on chamber performance. A member of the Itabashi Music Performers’ Association, Misawa has studied under master performers in Europe and appears regularly at concerts and weddings throughout Tokyo.
The perfect end to the workweek.
