Men's Golf Group Open Championship: Ohtone Country Club

Ohtone Country Club hosts this annual competition.

This year's Open Championship will be played in Ibaraki Prefecture at the highly rated Ohtone Country Club, which was founded in 1960.

Points from the tournament count towards next year's Emperor's Cup and this year's Race to Roppongi competition.

• Format: Scratch and Medal Play
  Handicaps do not apply. This competition follows gross scores rather than Stableford points. Players must hole out each hole up to the maximum number of strokes for that hole (see below).
  
  
• Managing Pace of Play
  To ensure rounds are completed within a reasonable time frame, the maximum number of strokes per hole is set at double bogey. If a player reaches the maximum number of strokes before finishing the hole, they must stop playing. Double bogey will be recorded on the score card.
  
  
• Flights
  Players will be divided into three flights based on the handicap index (as of 5pm on August 30).
  Flight 1: less than or equal to 10
  Flight 2: greater than 10 and less than 15
  Flight 3: greater than or equal to 15
  
  
• Winners
  Prizes will be awarded to the winner and runner-up of each flight. Each winner will receive a Baccarat crystal tumbler and a Club voucher worth ¥12,000. Each runner-up will receive a Club voucher worth ¥10,000.
