Culture Connections

It's never easy for families to deal with a serious illness, even more so when it is a child who is sick.

Family House
, a local nonprofit, provides housing and support for families who have to travel to Tokyo while their children receive hospital treatment in the city.

At this event, Family House's Momoko Ueda will discuss the work of the organization, which received donations from the Club over a number of years, before leading a session to wrap welcome gifts for families staying at Family House residences

These monthly Culture Connections events often feature a guest speaker. Previous presentations have covered such topics as mental health and the Japanese art of bonsai.
