Create lovely Easter decorations by covering empty eggshells with Japanese traditional washi paper.
Learn the techniques of pasting, erasing creases and varnishing for a stable finish.
You will make two washi eggs as well as an original washi box.
A beautiful selection of washi paper will be provided.
Class requirements: small scissors for cutting paper, a toothbrush, ruler, pencil, scotch tape and wet cloth.
Instructor
With more than 30 years’ experience working with Japanese washi paper Tokuko Tanaka has taught widely throughout Tokyo, including 13 years at a famous washi store in Asakusabashi and nearly 20 years at the Club and the Tokyo Union Church. She enjoys sharing her expert knowledge of beautiful washi and how it can be used for decoration.
