Make a lovely lamp using Rita’s design with a cylinder shade standing about 50 to 65cm high.
Learn how to cover the shade with Japanese washi and to connect all of the lamp’s electrical parts.
Class requirements: a Philips-head screwdriver and scissors to cut paper. Washi paper available in class.

Instructor
Rita Uetsuka has taught arts and crafts using Japanese washi paper, chabako tea boxes and obi fabric and her original designs for lamps, screens and scrolls since 1986. She believes in hands-on creativity and offers her students opportunities to make beautiful items for daily living while learning about materials and tools. She is a frequent contributor to the International Bazaar.
