One-Stop Sushi! Introduction to Sushi

This class is open to anyone who wants to experience preparing sushi in Japan, from beginners up.


We'll learn about the tools and knives, preparation methods, including how to make the best sushi rice, and how to eat sushi properly.
Lunch is included and the menu will feature nigiri with ikura (roe), two types maguro (tuna) and two kinds of salmon with miso soup and green tea.


Instructor

Ryoko Uruma has number of culinary certificates and qualifications, and extensive experience teaching international cooking. Married to an American and with five children, she certainly has put her training to good use both at home and in her cooking studio. She is a frequent media guest speaking and writing about life style for Japanese women and is looking forward to her sushi classes with TAC.
