Watercolor Journaling (Series)

Add some color to the record of your daily life.

What will I learn in this class?
Some experiences in Japan need more than words. That’s where a watercolor journal can help.

In this class perfect for novice artists and master creatives alike, learn how to take your journaling to the next level by sketching and painting your experiences in and around Tokyo. Students will practice techniques including blind contouring, basic perspective, layout and design as well as the principles of color theory, shadowing and glazing.

The first two classes will take place at the Club before moving out into the streets of Tokyo where students will put their new skills to use in on-the-spot watercolor journaling.

Who teaches this class?
Christina Lopp Schwabecher taught watercolor journaling to adult students for over 15 years in California in both classroom settings and out in California’s picturesque natural scenes.
