Japanese Home Cooking: Sukiyaki and Shabu Shabu

Prepare your own healthy Japanese recipes with fresh, local ingredients.


In this class, students will learn how to gather their own ingredients and prepare two well-known dishes (sukiyaki hot pot and shabu shabu hot pot) before enjoying a light lunch paired with sake.

Naoko Miyazaki started teaching Japanese home cooking to friends during her time living in New York City. For the past five years, she has been learning pearl jewelry making techniques and crafting her own original pieces.
