Japanese Gift Wrapping: Shibori

What will I learn in this class?
Want to give a special touch to your next present? Learn how traditional shibori techniques can help you turn simple paper into a blooming flower for Mom or shirt and tie for Dad. Students also learn how to tie a double-sided ribbon for the perfect finishing detail.

What is the goal of this class?
Students will leave this class with an understanding of the fundamentals of Japanese gift wrapping that can make their next present look as good as its contents.

Who teaches this class?
Hiroe Miyaoka is a professional package designer, published author and corporate consultant. A graduate of Tokyo’s Vantan Design Institute, Miyaoka has been teaching Japanese gift wrapping techniques for 15 years.
