Head to the hills for an invigorating autumn day of trail running with professional ultrarunner Tomo Ihara.
Ihara, who shared his remarkable journey from couch potato to high-performance athlete at a TAC Talk last year, returns to lead another running clinic on the forested slopes of Mount Takao in western Tokyo.
Aimed at runners who can comfortably complete a 5-kilometer road race and are keen to try a little off-road running, this session will take participants on 10 kilometers of trails over around 500 meters of ascent.
The clinic will start and end at Mount Takao Base Camp, where runners can rent Salomon trail running shoes (included in the fee), store valuables, shower and unwind with a snack and drink at the end.
Prepare your water, running snacks and athletic gear for an endorphin-inducing workout in Mother Nature.
