Indian Delights: Gujarati Thali

Savor the flavors and aromas of cuisine from the Indian state of Gujarat.

Students will watch the instructor prepare a Gujarati thali, a traditional collection of dishes served in small bowls, from ingredient and spice prep to cooking.

Participants, who will receive recipes to try at home, will be able to ask questions as they delve into the rich culture of Indian food.

At the end of the cooking process, everyone will sit down to enjoy the results for lunch.

Hema Parekh is a certified cooking teacher, nutritionist, culinary consultant and author of several cookbooks, including The Asian Vegan Kitchen and The South Indian Vegetarian Kitchen. Over her 25-year career, she has cooked for visiting heads of state and royalty. The Club Member holds a diploma in diet and nutrition for obesity management from the Indian Institute of Cosmetology, Trichology and Nutrition.
