Metroz, who will explain the process of taking a design idea through to the assembly line, contemplated the future of car design in a piece for Car Design News website last year.
“The next big revolution in the design of cars will be in the interior, because autonomous driving will change fundamentally the nature of activity inside the car because you don’t need to drive,” he wrote.
A graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers, Metroz was formerly design director at Citroën and director of exterior design at Renault.
