Sometimes it takes the eye of an outsider to see the beauty of a city.
Born in Poland, Mateusz Urbanowicz has been working as an illustrator and artist since 2013.
His biggest credit to date may be as a background illustrator on 2016’s smash hit Your Name, but his personal projects have garnered acclaim as well.
Published in April 2018 with bilingual descriptions, Tokyo Storefronts collects dozens of Urbanowicz’s watercolor illustrations inspired by shops found on his strolls through Tokyo’s endless side streets.
Urbanowicz breaks down his techniques and inspirations in this author meet and greet.
One free drink ticket included per registration. Copies of Tokyo Storefronts available for ¥2,680.
