Technique Development with an Olympian

Up your swim game through weekly, Olympian-led sessions at the Sky Pool.


What will I learn in this class?
Swimmers learn (or relearn) how to swim freestyle and other competitive strokes efficiently. These technique-focused sessions start with the fundamentals of swimming, including buoyancy, body position and the basics of hydrodynamics. Swimmers are encouraged to bring their own snorkel.

What are the benefits of this class?
Aimed at anyone who wants to become a better swimmer, this class uses a step-by-step approach to help swimmers master swim strokes and, ultimately, move efficiently and smoothly through the water.

Who will teach this class?
Miguel Ortiz-Cañavate represented Spain at the 2016 Rio Olympics and won the NCAA Division I title with the University of Michigan in 2013. He discussed his swimming career in the May 2022 issue of INTOUCH magazine.

  • Requirement: comfortably swim 50 meters
  • No class on national holidays
