Students learn the fundamentals of hip-hop dance, including choreography and teamwork.

What are the benefits of this class?
As children adjust to the dance movements and postures, they increase body coordination, confidence and self-esteem. Freestyle dance also teaches students independence and creativity. The high physicality of dances also improves flexibility range of motion, strength, stamina and overall fitness.

Who will teach this class?
Jamieson de Guzman is a Canadian dancer and teacher. His 18 years of training comes from the world famous Electric Boogaloos dance crew-who appeared on Soul Train and brought the Popping dance style to the world. He is now head teacher at TNG Dance Academy. Babs Kobayashi is an American dancer and instructor at TNG Academy. She specializes in hip-hop but also dances jazz, heels, burlesque, bachata and salsa.
