Japanese Incense-Making Workshop

Discover the world of traditional Japanese incense.

In this workshop, you will learn a brief history of Japanese incense and discover the scents of the various ingredients used to make incense sachets. Finally, you will create two of your own original incense sachets.

Eriyo Watanabe has been teaching Japanese incense ceremony and incense-making lessons for 20 years. Well-known for her original incense, she is a grand master of the Renshin school of incense, a director of the Incense Research Institute and a specially appointed professor at Nihon Pharmaceutical University.
