Storytime with Larissa Soares

Olly doesn’t fit in. As a red squirrel among a group of gray squirrels, he longs to have friends and be accepted.

Olly is the main character of Larissa Soares’ beautifully illustrated children’s book, Olly the Lone Red Squirrel.

At this special Library storytime in February, the author will read her sensitive tale of friendship, kindness and acceptance.

There will be a chance to purchase a signed copy of Olly the Lone Red Squirrel for ¥2,200 at the end.

Originally from Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, Soares has lived in Tokyo since 2019. She used to be an air traffic controller with the Brazilian air force.
