Shizuoka Beer Wins Club Tasting Again
Shizuoka's West Coast Brewing emerged triumphant for the second time at the Club's Craft Beer Tasting in May.
The brewery's Attuned Double Hazy IPA was voted the winner by Members at this event featuring a total of 14 beers from seven Japan-based craft breweries.

California, Australia and Uruguay proved the winners at the biannual Seasonal Wine Taste-Off on April 9.
Nearly 80 Members sampled eight white wines and eight reds from regions in California, Chile, Australia and Uruguay before voting for their favorites.

The Club's Animal Refuge Kansai (ARK) holiday donation drive provided a much-needed boost for the Hyogo Prefecture-based animal shelter.
Members donated toys, blankets, snacks and other useful items to last year's drive, with Hill’s Japan donating 1 kilogram of its pet food for each decoration Members crafted to hang on the Library's Christmas tree. In all, Hill's donated 75 kilograms of food.

The Club's Connections group has made donations to help communities hit by natural disasters in Japan and Hawaii.
Connections donated ¥2 million to the Japanese Red Cross to support those affected by the large earthquake that struck Ishikawa Prefecture's Noto Peninsula on New Year's Day.

The Club welcomes the Tokyo governor and a Japanese fashion legend as the keynote speakers of its International Women's Day Luncheon on March 8.
Yuriko Koike was reelected as Tokyo's first female leader in 2020 after a number of years in national politics.
