SAT Reading and Writing Prep (Fall)

The Writing portion of the class reviews the key concepts in grammar, rhetoric, reading charts, and question answering techniques, process of elimination.


What will I learn in this class?

The Writing portion of the class reviews the key concepts in grammar, rhetoric, reading charts, and question answering techniques, process of elimination.
The Reading portion of the class reviews reading techniques for narrative, expository, and argumentative passages. Students also will learn about strategies to eliminate options and manage time.
Students will also learn the alternative strategies for the problem types, so they can choose the most time-effective method.

Who teaches the class?
With 14 years of teaching/tutoring Math, Physics, and SAT, Neil Nguyen is the most experienced instructor at Tokyo Academics and he will be teaching the SAT class at Tokyo American Club. He also directs the Math, Physics, and SAT curriculum development team at Tokyo Academics. Neil is a UC Berkeley-trained engineer and a former robotics developer. He also holds has a Masters in Economics from Tokyo University.

*On Nov 30 (last class of session 2), class will be held in Beate Sirota Gordon and Haru Reischauer classrooms.

  • Prices exclude consumption tax.
  • Classes until the end of September 2019 will be subjected to 8% consumption tax.
  • Classes from October 2019 onward will be subjected to 10% consumption tax.
