Celebrate the 10th birthday of the Club’s Azabudai home at an evening of festivities among friends.
This evening bash features a lineup of traditional Japanese entertainment, including a kagami biraki sake barrel-breaking ceremony, a shishimai lion dance and a colorful performance of kagura, a form of Shinto theatrical dance.
Akira Katogi, Shunsuke Kimura, Kumiko Hirasawa and Mao Sakurada of the Wariki performance troupe provide the traditional entertainment.
With a decade having passed since the Club opened the doors of its impressive, Pelli Clarke Pelli-designed Azabudai facility on January 18, 2011 (pictured), the Library’s Drew Damron highlights the Club’s milestone moments over the last 10 years in a short presentation.
Celebratory sake, a selection of savory Japanese and Western delicacies and the smooth jazz vibes of Kevin McHugh and Monique Dehaney complete what is sure to be a memorable spring celebration.
