A digital conclusion to the popular, multipart series on Tokyo’s most interesting structures.
What will I learn in this class?
This online lecture has two main goals: to expand the discussion about issues raised during the tours of Central, East and West Tokyo, and to introduce projects and buildings that weren’t included in the tours due to their location but that are nonetheless relevant to our knowledge on contemporary architecture.
The online format (the passage from streets to screen) will allow students to complement their observations with digital visuals.
Please note: this lecture is recommended for those who attended all, some or only one of the tours in the Exploring Tokyo’s Architecture series.
Who teaches this class?
Erez Golani Solomon is a lecturer in architectural design and theory at Waseda University and Keio University. Golani Solomon practices architecture as partner at the Tokyo-based firm Front-Office.
