Culture Connections

The global diamond market was valued at a staggering $95 billion in 2021. Learn about this precious gem and the industry around it from a Member in the know.

David Rudlin worked for the diamond giant De Beers for a decade. His work took him from the mines of Botswana and South Africa to the cutting centers of Surat in India and Antwerp in Belgium.

At this morning talk, Rudlin will explain where diamonds are sourced, why they are so expensive, how to shop for them and the future of lab-grown diamonds.

Culture Connections is a monthly get-together where Connections members and guests can mingle while learning about the culture, history and cuisine of one another's home countries.
