California x Kyoto

The sun-drenched slopes of California and the historic streets of Kyoto might be an ocean apart, but they’re both home to pioneering artisans.

From May 22, Traders’ Bar is celebrating the wines of Sonoma’s Kenwood Vineyards and Kyoto Distillery’s Ki No Bi, the first gin to be crafted in the former imperial capital.

For two months, savor a selection of four stellar California wines and a refreshing dry gin cocktail—all at happy hour prices.

Kyoto Distillery was set up in 2014 as Japan’s first gin-focused producer, while Kenwood Vineyards began producing premium wines in the 1970s, long before Sonoma’s American viticultural areas were established.

On June 16, Nicholas Gardiner, Kenwood’s brand ambassador, will visit Traders’ to discuss the history of the producer’s vineyards and its approach to making premium wines. Drop by between 5pm and 7pm.
