First Friday: Hanami Night

From its start with samurai in their castle courtyards, a centuries-old tradition comes alive at the Club.

On April 5, the perennially popular Hanami Night celebrates this Japanese spring rite in the Winter Garden and American Bar & Grill.

Featuring sake from four Tochigi Prefecture breweries, entertainment by professional geisha trained in the Asakusa cultural district and a special Tsugaru shamisen performance by former heavy metal guitarist Masaru Yamakage, the Club’s sakura-themed First Friday celebration is not to be missed.

One of the most popular Club events of the year, this cherry blossom festival is sure to reach capacity, so sign up while you still can!

Read more about Yamakage’s journey from shamisen to heavy metal guitar (and back again) in the March issue of INTOUCH.
