The beach volleyballers of Team USA visit the Club to tour the facilities then meet Members at a casual evening of autographs and chat.
Besides a selection of gold medal-winning American athletes, Japanese beach volleyball couple Koichi and Kaoru Nishimura will also be on hand to explain the sport to families.
The men’s and women’s teams will be Japan to compete in the Beach Volleyball World Tour Tokyo event, which will be held at next year’s Olympic venue, Shiokaze Park, from July 24 to 28.
At the 2016 Rio Summer Games, April Ross and Kerri Walsh Jennings won bronze in the women’s competition, while Phil Dalhausser and Nick Lucena made it to the quarterfinals in the men’s competition.
Ross (Olympic silver and bronze medalist), Walsh Jennings (four-time Olympic medalist) and Dalhausser (Olympic gold medalist) will all attend this Club event.
The Club will serve as USA House, the hospitality hub of Team USA, for the duration of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
