Olympian Sprint Freestyle Clinic

To be the best, it helps to learn from the best.

What will I learn in this class?
Proper fundamentals form the basis of any successful swimmer, so who better to learn from than athletes who have competed at the top?

In this course led by two Olympic-level swimmers, participants of all ages will learn to correct flaws in their form while gaining unique insight into how to reach the next level of their potential in the pool.

The Olympians leading the sessions will swim alongside students to demonstrate proper technique as well as modify students’ form through hands-on instruction.

What are the benefits of this class?
In the Kids’ Clinic, young swimmers solidify the basics of freestyle swimming through watching demonstrations and participating in mock relay races.

Students will also have the chance to receive autographs from the instructors at the end of the session.

Who will teach this class?
Miguel and Bruno Ortiz-Cañavate (pictured) are internationally competitive swimmers whose accomplishments include an appearance on the blocks for Spain at the 2016 Rio Olympics, where the Ortiz-Cañavate brothers helped their team place 13th overall in the men’s 4x100 freestyle relay.

Prior to their Olympic careers, the Ortiz-Cañavate brothers competed at the NCAA Division I level at the University of Michigan, where they won the 2013 NCAA championship both in the overall team event and the 200-yard medley relay.
