Move beyond (hazy) memories of tequila shots at college and discover the refined variety of Mexico’s national drink.
This Wine & Beverage Committee-organized tequila tasting will feature premium examples of the distilled spirit.
Quality tequila starts with the base ingredient—the agave plant—and the best tequila is made from 100 percent Weber blue agave.
The event’s liquor lineup includes Corralejo's Blanco, Reposado and Añejo tequilas, Portfidio’s Extra Añejo tequila, which is continuously aged in hand-toasted virgin oak barrels, and a selection of Vista’s own American oak barrel-rested tequilas.
Imbibers will also enjoy food pairings from south of the border, including snapper ceviche tostada, Oaxacan lamb barbacoa with tortillas and chicken leg mole with Mexican rice.
Make this tasting the beginning of a true appreciation for the sophisticated flavors of tequila.
