Yoko Otsuki (painting)
Iconic moments of Japanese culture frozen in time.
A Kansai native, Yoko Otsuki received much of her artistic upbringing in the ancient Japanese capital of Kyoto, once the seat of all the great poets, philosphers and painters that Japan would produce. Now, she harnesses that cultural legacy to convey the essence of some of her country's traditions to audiences around the world.
From scenes of summer festivals to elegant depictions of iconic landmarks amid the beauty of the seasons, Otsuki's frames capture the physical beauty of Japan that few photographs manage.
